18 Steps To A Healthier Life

1. Start your day with two glasses of water one half hour before breakfast.
2. Eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. Fruit in the morning. Vegetables in the afternoon and early evening. Fruit later if desired.
Note: Never eat fruit with meals. Wait one half our after a meal to prevent fermentation with other food.
3. Buy something like a vita mixer and grind your whole grains for the days use. Example: "Amoranth & Kamut Pancakes", "Rice and whole oats"...
4. Eat as much whole raw foods as possible. Avoid over cooking.
5. Don't live on supplements. Supplements are just that - supplementation to a healthy diet. The 5 most important supplements are...
6. Cook in stainless steel or glass.
7. Don't drink water, juice or other with meals. Avoid squelching your digestive enzymes. "Sip" a little red wine or tepid herbal teas for example.
8. Buy a juicer. Use it daily. Example: "Orange & carrots", "apple and carrots". For evenings, "carrots, celery and a little beet."
9. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of distilled or purified water a day.
10. Eat 1 cup red raspberries (best), blueberries, or strawberries a day for their "ellagic acid" (cancer fighter).
11. Move at least one half hour per day. Sweat!
12. Walk barefoot on the earth daily. Grasse, sand, etc. Breathe deeply.
13. Do a gentle cleansing every quarter.
14. Don't watch too much tv or even the news, especially at night.
15. Simplify. Throw out 1/3 of everything you own. Being enslaved to "stuff" will kill you slowly.
16. Watch a funny movie, learn 1000 jokes, laugh...
17. Pray and get in touch with your spiritual side.

Recipes

“Healthy” Kamut & Amoranth Pancakes

_ cup amoranth or “Brown Basmati Rice”
1/4 cup millet kamut
1 cup milk or more to desired thickness
1 egg or egg powder substitute
_ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon grape seed oil
2 tablespoons cottage cheese (optional)

Note: If you are using a vita—mixer, try not to grind the grains to a fine powder completely. It will give the pancakes more texture. “Arrowhead Mills” makes a complete “kamut” mix.

Heat pan on high with grape seed oil or olive oil. Let the batter sizzle at first contact, then turn down to medium heat. Wait for bubbles to form and cook to a medium golden brown. Add butter and pure maple syrup.

PS — Try a little cinnamon or walnuts to taste.

Hot Cereals

1/3 cup ground long grain brown rice
1/3 cup ground whole oats
2 cups cold water

Bring ingredients to a boil and then turn heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Add 2-3 tablespoons sweet whey in glass of water and pure maple syrup.
